Working session at @EU Cyber Forum 2020
“Internationalising (critical) infrastructure and functions protection”
17 September 2020 | h. 15:00-16:30 CEST
Protection of critical infrastructure and functions is an objective that features prominently in the international discussion about cyber norms and confidence-building measures. However, the conversation among cyber diplomats rarely reflects the realities on the ground and the challenges faced by the operators. The purpose of this working session is to compare notes between these two groups of stakeholders in order to identify common areas of interest and investigate how the innovation and research undertaken in the area of critical infrastructure protection can be leveraged to address the challenges to international security cooperation.
Chair: Max BRANDT, Directorate General for Home Affairs, European Commission
Clemente Fuggini, SecureGas project coordinator (RINA), will take place as speaker during this interesting working session.

The EU Cyber Forum is a platform for showcasing the European Union’s efforts in a broadly defined area of cyber and digital policies, while at the same time allowing for the exchange of best practices between participating countries. Organised in cooperation with the European External Action Service, the European Commission, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity – ENISA, and the European Cybercrime Centre at Europol, the first edition of the Forum brought together over 150 individuals representing around 60 countries and different stakeholder communities.
